Alpha Sigma Epsilon has long maintained a visible presence within student life at North Texas Metropolitan University. Its membership spans academic programs, university athletics, campus organizations, service initiatives, and an extensive alumni network.

The chapter combines the social traditions associated with collegiate fraternity life with an unusually strong emphasis on history, family legacy, and documented heritage.

A Distinctive Tradition

The Alpha Sigma Epsilon Legacy

Alpha Sigma Epsilon approaches the idea of fraternity legacy differently from most collegiate organizations. Membership has historically required prospective brothers to document descent from a historically recognized individual whose influence extended beyond his or her immediate family or community.

The tradition has produced a chapter membership representing an unusually broad range of cultural backgrounds, national histories, and family stories.

Documentation & Chapter Eligibility

Lineage documentation is reviewed as part of the chapter's internal membership process. Meeting lineage requirements does not guarantee membership, and all prospective members remain subject to NTMU Greek Life recruitment policies and university conduct standards.

Chapter Life

ASE members take part in the broader academic, athletic, service, and social life of the university while maintaining traditions specific to the chapter.

The ASE house serves as both a residence and the operational center of the chapter. Its common spaces support meetings, meals, study sessions, alumni gatherings, and chapter events.

The building also houses the fraternity's historical records and chapter archives, maintained separately from public university collections.
